We are recruiting apprentices who are keen to be involved with varied and sometimes challenging projects.
Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application and may be invited to complete an assessment at one of the campuses.

Following completion of the apprentiship you will be joining our other Fabricator Welder's working either in our workshop or on our client's sites.
Once experienced you will also have the opportunity to undertake welder approval testing to work on pressure vessels and other high-integrity work.
Career progression could be onto chargehand, foreman or onto other managerial roles in the company.
The apprentice will be working alongside our highly experienced Coded Welders, Pipefitter Welders and Fabricator Welders to build their knowledge of pipefitting, fabrication and welding.
This would suit someone adept at problem solving and motivated to learn a wide variety of skills including welding, pipefitting, plating and general fabrication which can also involve working on-site, in confined spaces and at height.

Applicants would need their own transport as the college we use at present for one day a week at Suffolk new College Rural (Otley Campus) during term time.
