Vacancy Short Description : You will work with the Administration and Reception Teams to help deliver 1st class patient services within a busy surgery. You will be required to interact with patients, clinicians and staff to provide good quality care.

 

Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not usually offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus however those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application and may be invited into one of the campuses to complete the assessments on site.
Vacancy Full Description : • Deal with patients, visitors and other health professionals either face to face, on the telephone or by email.
• Use computerised patient record system
• Carry out scanning duties for any paper based communications received
• Process all post and electronic communications on the day they arrive
• Liaise with read-coding team to ensure smooth processing of clinical correspondence.
• Book appointments into clinical rotas
• Signpost patients to appropriate clinician/service
• Assist in maintaining the website and social media platforms

Training to be Provided : Qualification: Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Standard College Attendance: All assessment and training is undertaken in the workplace Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Ipswich or Rural Suffolk (Otley) campus for short training courses and tests.
Other Information : This is a demanding role working in a busy GP Practice. Patient contacts can vary from routine matters to difficult situations. It is important we ensure all contacts with us are dealt with appropriately and efficiently.
