Vacancy Short Description : This is a relatively new role working with another IT Apprentice across three busy sites, providing IT on-site support to clinical and non-clinical staff and providing a link between our remote IT infrastructure and practice teams.

 

Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application if required.
Vacancy Full Description :
The post-holder, although based primarily at the Cardinal Medical Practice at Norwich Road will also be required to respond to issues at the Chesterfield Drive and Deben Road practices as the need arises. Main responsibilities and duties will include:

Providing IT Support and Training
Troubleshoot IT problems and identify solutions
Train and inform staff on how to use new systems/software effectively
Set users up with MS Teams, webcams etc
Report faults
IT Maintenance
Monitor website/media screens and online social media patient feedback
Ensure security of data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Future Prospects : A permanent position could become available at the end of training for the right apprentice
Training to be Provided : An Infrastructure Technician provides support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems. The Infrastructure Technician sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organisations productivity. The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
Other Information : IMPORTANT NOTICE: The successful candidate will be required to complete a day’s trial at each of the three practice sites to meet the team and to ensure that he/she is a suitable candidate for the role.
