Vacancy Short Description : Apprentice bricklayer required to learn all aspects of bricklaying
Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application if required.
Vacancy Full Description : • Learn and acquire the skills necessary to become a competent Bricklayer. To obtain all round knowledge of the construction processes leading to the finished product
• Site based: Practical skills/use of tools/health and safety/building houses in brick/blockwork . Develop personal (people) skills
• To work and perform in a safe and conscientious manner
• Keep accurate training records/diary
• Be punctual and keep employer informed of potential absences
• Adhere within the terms of the Construction Apprentice Scheme
• Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life

Future Prospects : A full-time role within the company is likely for someone who completes the apprenticeship successfully.
Training to be Provided : The Apprentice is equipped with theoretical knowledge combined with practical hands-on experience that leads to a nationally recognised qualification. They will attain a range of experience in their job role working on a construction site, to given specifications, setting out basic structures, building brick and block walling, laying domestic drainage placing and finishing concrete and render surfaces.
