Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application if required.
Vacancy Full Description : The listing below covers the responsibilities you will be trained on and supported to complete:

Working to Health and safety Legislations
Planning, installation, testing, commissioning and de-commissioning, service, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair techniques on cold water, hot water, central heating, above ground drainage and rainwater systems
Installation and testing techniques for electrical components and control systems on plumbing and domestic heating systems
Scientific plumbing, domestic heating and mechanical principles
Providing a high quality customer service and establishing the needs of others (colleagues, customers and other stakeholders)
Respecting the working environment including customer’s properties
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday
Salary : £ 172.00 (Weekly)

Training to be Provided : Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems, they can find themselves working inside or outside a property. Customer service skills and being tidy and respectful are important qualities as they can often find themselves working in customers’ homes as well as on building sites. Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians are also at the forefront of installing new and exciting environmental technologies like heat pumps, solar thermal systems, biomass boilers and water recycling systems The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
Other Information : Mainly working on domestic properties, in some tight spaces and the occasional loft work
