Vacancy Short Description : An exciting opportunity to train within a growing independent food preparation and delivery business whilst gaining a Level 3 Chef de Partie Apprenticeship.

 

Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application if required.
Vacancy Full Description : You will be in charge of one area of production of the kitchen, for example breakfast, meat, sauces or vegetables - cooking food for the
specific area. The role will include the following:

Assisting the head chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
Assisting with the management of health & Safety
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
Preparing ingredients
Supervising junior chefs
Ensure high quality of production and presentation of food
Maintaining and ordering stock
Preparing all dishes to the correct recipe and quantity
Taking charge in the absense of the sous chef
Attending training courses when required

Working Week : Mon-Sat Days and Shifts TBC
Salary : £ 150.50 (Weekly)

Future Prospects : Franchising opportunities - We want our apprentices to run/manage
future franchise locations and build the brand nationwide
Training to be Provided : A chef de partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen such as fish, sauté or vegetable. In a large kitchen, this type of chef usually manages a small team of workers, which they must keep organised so that dishes go out on time and the work area remains clean and orderly. In smaller kitchens, a chef de partie may work independently, they would report to the senior chef. The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
Other Information : This role is paid at £4.30 per hour - hours and shifts TBC
