Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants regardless of entry requirements will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus. Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application if required.
Vacancy Full Description : This role will consist of taking part in and carrying out a wide range of simple but relevant and essential tasks depending on the nature and specification of each project, with the candidate given the opportunity to learn a range of basic skills and techniques. They will be able to play a vital role in the completion of each project, whilst being able to observe and develop an understanding of how each project is completed. With time on site, opportunities will be provided for the candidate to begin to learn and practice key skills and techniques required to become a basic landscape operative.
The candidate will be working with the owner and key members of staff at all times, and always in real and valid project situations.
Key responsibilities will include a good understanding of site safety, personal safety, safe working techniques, tool management and safekeeping, developing good basic task efficiency and effectiveness.

Working Week : Standard working week: Minimum 35 hours ON SITE from 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon -Fri with 1 hr unpaid
Salary : £ 175.00 (Weekly)

Personal Qualities : ---You should bear in mind the physical nature of this role and the probability of working all poor weather conditions, and should be naturally fit and energetic with a clear hardworking attitude throughout each day
Ideally you can drive or at least be preparing to pass your test.
Skills Required : Ideally the successful candidate will have a passion for outdoor work with the desire to learn all aspects of hard and soft landscaping.
You will appreciate the importance of good time keeping, honesty and respect for the role and the business, and a desire to always exceed expectations in all that we do.

Training to be Provided : Horticulture/Landscape Operative Standard, Emergency First Aid at Work, Safe use of Pesticides, Functional Skills maths and English

You will be expected to work in all weather conditions and be responible to use the correct PPE/C
