Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not usually offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus.

Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application and may be invited into one of the campuses to complete the assessments on site.
Vacancy Full Description : The successful candidate will be working in a friendly office with 6-9 colleagues.
The role will be learning basic office duties & answering the phone, then progressing to ordering materials, to making up project files.
As you learn & become confident then there will be further duties managing Company vehicles, stock checking & completing staff wages.
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Monday to Friday 35 paid hours
Salary : £ 136.50 (Weekly)

Skills Required : The successful candidate should be punctual, articulate & confident on the telephone. They should demonstrate skills relating to information & technology, record & document production, decision making & project management
Future Prospects : We hope the successful candidate will strive & learn basic skills which will allow them to be assigned work under supervision. With time, experience & knowledge they will be working as an important team member in the office on a salary that reflects their ability & quality of work.
Training to be Provided : Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition, the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks.
All of the qualification can be delivered into the workplace but occasional attendance at the Ipswich might be required for functional skills if necessary.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour with effect from 1st April 2020. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment

Shortlisting/Interviews - Shortlisting and interviews will take place throughout the duration of the vacancy ad. This may mean that the vacancy could close before the published cut-off date should suitable candidates be found.
Things to consider : The job is very varied but at times there may be lots of printing or laminating when making up site folders. There are also basic office junior duties such as filing & keeping the office organised.
