Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not usually offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus.
Vacancy Full Description : Working in a busy social media and marketing office which designs marketing campaigns to support clients as they increase and grow their businesses. You will be carrying out the full range of business administration and office tasks including:
• Organising presentations to clients, booking appointments, preparing materials, ultimately supporting at these presentations
• Fact finding, carryout research
• Developing IT skills to use multiple IT packages relevant to the business, planning documents and managing files,
• Initiating and completing tasks
• Helping in the smooth running of the office, taking telephone enquiries, being customer focused. Setting up meetings.
• Keeping accurate records, updating and reviewing databases, produce data analysis, understanding the regulations over data protection
• Preparing invoices, learning book keeping
• Learning communication, decision making and interpersonal skills needed to build business relationships

Personal Qualities : You will like working with all sorts of people, have good communication skills, be outward going whilst good at listening, be positive and enjoy being efficient.
Skills Required : You will have good organisational skills and the ability to lean to prioritise work in this busy office. You will be passionate about new technology and social media. Be numerate and very accurate, be adaptable about taking on different roles/working in different departments as the work load requires
Future Prospects : Plenty of scope to lead to a full time role and in a variety of specialisms in a growing business
Training to be Provided : Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. This apprenticeship is work based however an occaisional visit to the Ipswich or Otley Rural Campus might be required.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour with effect from 1st April 2020. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment
