Vacancy Short Description : Are you looking to kick-start a new career in IT? This is a fantastic new position within a major civil engineering construction company working from their head office.

 

Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Ideally applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and maths at grades 9- 4 for a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and 9-3 for a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants will be emailed an Initial Assessment to complete as part of the recruitment procedure. This is an online assessment in English and maths and can be completed at your preferred location remotely. Currently, due to COVID19 we are not usually offering Initial Assessment appointments at either campus.
Vacancy Full Description : The main duties will include:
• Build up and configuration of new computers
• Build up and configuration mobile devices
• Support of Microsoft Office Suite, and other Microsoft Software
• Create user accounts in Windows Server Active Directory and Office365
• Build up and configuration of Draytek Router/Firewall
• Respond to Helpdesk Calls from across the business
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Monday to Friday
Salary : £250.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Being willing to learn and is a great team player. You will need to be forward thinking, beyond the given task along with having a flexible approach and not afraid to ask questions. Due to the nature of the role, we need someone who is confident in engaging with people at all levels.
Skills Required : We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a passion for IT.
You will need to be accurate and numerate, and good record keeper.
This role will require a full UK driving licence.
Future Prospects : Scope to progress to a full time post.

Training to be Provided : Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks.
Occaisional visits to the Ipswich Campus may be required.
Other Information : The employer is offering a starting salary of £12,000-£13,000 PA.

Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, will be offered further advice and guidance to support their application and may be invited into one of the campuses to complete the assessments on site.
